Your Private Pilots Licence training begins where GFPT training left
off. The syllabus is designed to build on your current flying skills and
introduce new ones such as cross country navigation and flight
planning. Flight times during your PPL training will increase as you
learn to safely navigate your way around the countryside using tried
and tested techniques whilst also making sure you can use modern
technology such as the Global Positioning System (GPS).

Each of these lessons will include a number of landings at
aerodromes away from Jandakot allowing you to become confident
operating away from your home base and familiar with the
procedures associated with smaller country airstrips. You will
become proficient at operating in controlled airspace which
surrounds major airports and learn how to handle the many other
aspects of cross country flight such as enroute emergency
procedures, diversions and refuelling at places where fuel doesn’t
arrive on the back of a truck! At the completion of your PPL training
you will be licensed to fly with passengers anywhere in Australia,
opening up a great new way of getting around the country with
friends and family.

From here you can add to your licence with an aerobatic, formation
and night flying endorsements further enhancing your skills and
enjoyment of flying.
