AAA Wrap Up
A fantastic time was had by all 19 people who attended the first ACFT Air Adventure held 20th/21st November.
Seven aircraft flew to a secluded location in the Margaret River area for a weekend of relaxation and fun.
The weekend started with a pilot safety and logistics briefing at ACFT Jandakot and was followed by loading
all the aircraft and preparing flight plans for the flight south. Each aircraft team was given a fun questionnaire
to fill in which included finding and identifying specific features along the way of which the most interesting
was locating the DC3 which is parked on the front lawn of a coastal property. The winner of the questionnaire
was Kevin Day and his wife, Julie, who flew in Super Decathlon VH-FKM. Kevin and Julie were awarded a
prize of their choice of a flight in an Extra 300L or a Nanchang which was very kindly donated by
Fighter Combat International (www.fciwa.com) and Attitude Aerobatics (www.attitudeaerobatics.com.au).
The rest of the evening was spent enjoying good company and the wonderful food organised by our hosts,
Vivien Jones and Michael McKenna. After a night of camping on the hangar floor a relaxed breakfast
was prepared followed by a photo shoot of all the aircraft, pilots and crew who attended the fly-in.
Thank you once again to our very generous host, Viv and Mike, for allowing us to descend upon their
property for the weekend. Thank you also to everyone who attended and made the first AAA a great success
and to ACFT General Manager, Mark Levitt, for organising the fun weekend.
