The Command Instrument Rating is one of the pinnicles of a pilots
career. There are many challenges ahead, but we believe we have
an exceptional syllabus of training to ensure you benefit from all of
ACFT's experienced instructors.

The syllabus has been designed to not only ensure you pass your
flight test, but also prepare you for the real world.

Single pilot IFR is some of the most difficult flying you will ever
encounter. It is not something to be taken lightly and nor is the
training you receive. To ensure you receive this training, we have
invested in some of the latest technology simulators and low time,
well presented aircraft.

This training however is worthless if not presented to you by a great
team of instructors. Our instructors are some of the most
experienced in their field with thousand's of hours flying real
commercial operations in real IFR conditions and are highly sought
after. Our goal is to share this knowledge and experience with you,
whether it be included in the syllabus or not.

ACFT can conduct training for the NDB, VOR, ILS/LLZ and the
DME/GPS Arrival endorsements. ACFT is also the only school on
the field with the ability to train students for GNSS RNAV non
precision approaches using modern up to date GPS units such as
the Garmin 430 and 480 and KLN 89B.

To assist in giving you the best training exposure possible, ACFT
has invested in the FSAP 58B motion synthetic trainer. With 180
degree visuals, the capability of recreating realistic weather
conditions, multiple aircraft platforms and 3 axis motion, our
instructors can simulate any number of environments and locations
to ensure you are capable of dealing with any approach or situation
you encounter, no matter where you are in Australia.

ACFT uses the P68C Partenavia for it's MECIR training program.
A very capable low time aircraft, it is proving to be a very popular
choice with our clients. With a generous avionics package including
twin ADF RMI, ILS, VOR, HSI, Garmin 480 TSO 145 GPS, the
Partenavia can cover all nav aid training requirements.

For SECIR (Single Engine) or Private IFR, ACFT has a new
generation 1999 model Cessna 182S available. Again this low time
aircraft has all the nav aids and avionics required including a
KLN 89B GPS to complete all nav aid endorsements required.

See our fleet page for more information.
